The new walk-through attraction at Hollywood Studios began technical rehearsals Friday morning ahead of its scheduled Monday debut. Guests can now explore the reimagined Animation Courtyard experience featuring Disney Animation characters.

Olaf Draws virtual queue takes unconventional approach
Disney confirmed the new character experience will use a virtual queue when demand is high, but it won't follow the typical 7am rush format. The system will deploy dynamically throughout the day to manage crowds without requiring the standard fast-finger strategy.
Check for queue availability mid-morning and early afternoon when the system typically opens new windows. Arriving at park open often lets you experience it without needing a return time.
Tropical Americas loses 2027 opening window at Animal Kingdom
Walt Disney World quietly removed the 2027 debut date from its calendar and coming soon pages for the land replacing DinoLand U.S.A. No new timeline has been announced for the three-attraction expansion.
DinoLand attractions remain operational but may close with little notice as construction timelines shift. Prioritize Dinosaur and TriceraTop Spin on your next visit if they're favorites.
EPCOT's Mexico Pavilion pyramid getting vibrant refresh
Scaffolding surrounds the iconic Mesoamerican structure as workers restore colorful accents to the exterior. The pyramid is receiving fresh paint to brighten one of World Showcase's most recognizable landmarks.
Gran Fiesta Tour and La Cava del Tequila remain fully accessible during the work. Visit now to see the transformation in progress before scaffolding comes down.
Spring 2027 festival dates and ticket offers now available
EPCOT's Festival of the Arts runs January 17 through February 23, 2027, while Flower and Garden returns March 10 through May 31. Disney also released booking details for After Hours events and spring vacation packages starting today.
Festival opening weekends typically draw lighter crowds than mid-run dates. Booking the first two weeks of each event often means shorter lines at food booths and better availability for workshops.

EPCOT has replaced its seasonal summer maps with a new green Fun for Families with Kids design. The updated version removes paper Mickey ear graphics and features solo Elsa artwork on the cover.

Your move for Hollywood Studios today
The soft opening of Magic of Disney Animation is drawing curious crowds to the Animation Courtyard. Rope-drop strategy should prioritize Rise of the Resistance or Slinky Dog Dash, then swing by the new walk-through mid-morning when lines settle. Sunset Boulevard construction noise tends to peak before lunch, so save table-service dining or shaded breaks for that window. The new Olaf experience may activate its virtual queue if foot traffic climbs—check the app by 10am to stay ahead.
Arriving at park open lets you hit two headliners before Animation Courtyard fills. Mid-afternoon often sees a lull when families take breaks, making it a smart window for walk-ons at lower-tier attractions.
